[A new article of mine on the cover of the July 2016 issue of Landscape Architecture Magazine is an interview with Anthony Acciavatti of Somatic Collaborative. The subject is his work on the Ganges river basin and is illustrated with amazing images from his new book The Ganges Water Machine: Designing New India's Ancient River. We discuss a range of topics related to what I call fluvio-urban morphology, including the role of soil in water systems, difficulties with data collection, and the importance of form in understanding and making environments.
